Fairfax Ice Arena is an indoor ice rink located in Fairfax, Virginia, offering daily public skate session hours all year round with special holiday hours. Public skate sessions are the designated times when the general public can ice skate.
Purchase your public session admission and skate rental in-person at the box office 30 minutes before the public skate session. View our holiday hours below for time and price changes. The weekend afternoon public ice skating sessions, and long holiday hour sessions have intermissions to resurface the ice.

Purchase admission, skate rentals, and discount skating cards in-person at the box office.
Groups of 7 or more must make a group reservation 24 hours in advance. Groups of 7 or more without a group reservation will be charged regular admission. Payment is due in person, on the day and session of your reservation.
When you come in for your reservation, let the box office staff know that you have a group reservation and give the name of your group reservation.
Seven skaters in your group reservation must be present together at the box office window to purchase the first seven group admission rate, whether one person pays all or each person in your group pays separately. If you do not have seven in your group when you come in, you will be asked to wait outside the building. The rest of your group may arrive later, and must inform the box office staff that they are part of a group reservation to get the group admission rate.
- The group reservation group admission rate cannot be used with other offers, coupons and promotions.
- Skate rental fee of $4 per person is not included in the group admission rate and can be purchased at the box office in person on the day of your reservation.
Save on public skate admissions with a Discount Skating Card — a punch card that gives you 10 admissions at a reduced rate. Valid for any public skate session (weekday, weekend, or holiday).
Discount Skating Cards are purchased in-person at the box office. Each punch covers one public skate session admission and can be used for one to multiple admissions at any one public skate session. Skate rental is not included and may be purchased separately. The purchase of a discount skating card is FINAL SALE. NO REFUNDS.
The discount skating card is not valid with other offers, coupons and promotions. To use the discount skating card, present the physical card to the box office to be admitted to a public skate session. All individuals using the discount card must be present together at the box office. Fairfax Ice Arena is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged cards. Forgotten cards, and copies or photos of the card, and damaged cards are not valid and will not be accepted. Please visit our box office during public ice skating session hours to purchase a discount skating card and for more details.
All the special admission rates listed below for homeschool students, college students and summer groups, are not valid with other offers, and are not valid during any of our scheduled holiday public skate sessions, themed public skate, and when area schools are not in session.
A skate rental fee of $4 per person is not included in these special rates.

Homeschool students, under 18 years old who are in a homeschool program for grades preschool - high school, can get a discount admission rate of $5.00 per person during our public ice skating session on Wednesdays, 11:15 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. when area schools are in session.
This special admission rate is not valid during any of our scheduled holiday public skate sessions and when area schools are not in session.
This special admission rate is not valid during the following dates and is subject to change:
$6.00 admission per person, $4 skate rental per person

College students showing a current college ID can get a discount admission rate of $6.00 per person during our public ice skating session on Wednesdays, 8:30 p.m. – 9:45 p.m. This admission rate is not valid during our holiday public skate, themed public skate, and summer public skate season. Students must show their current college ID at the time of purchasing their admission to get this discount admission rate.

Planning for a summer camp or summer school outing? Come out and skate! Camps and schools with 15 or more people can reserve the Summer Group admission rate during our Monday–Friday public skating hours in our summer season. Reservations must be made 3 days in advance.
