The Fairfax Ice Arena Pro Shop has served skaters and hockey players with knowledgeable equipment guidance and professional service for years.
The Fairfax Ice Arena Pro Shop has a large selection of skating equipment for figure skaters and is an authorized dealer for Aura, Edea, Jackson Ultima, John Wilson, Risport Skates, MK and more.

Appointments help us give each skater the time and attention needed for fittings and specialized services.
Schedule your appointment a week in advance for boot fitting, and high-level figure skaters who need boot orders, boot fittings, skate sharpening, blade mounting, boot reconditioning, consultations and other services.
Are you looking to purchase figure skates?
Skate fit is critical to a safe and successful skate. Unlike purchasing shoes, skates must be fitted and assessed in person.
Fitting fee
A non-refundable $35 boot fitting fee is due before your appointment begins. If you purchase skates with us, the fee is deducted from the final purchase price.
Beginner to intermediate skaters
Walk-ins are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, or you may book an appointment one week in advance.
Competitive Figure Skaters
If you are a training competitive skater, training for your Us Figure Skating tests, or a high-level recreational skater doing jumps and spins, please make an appointment one week in advance. No walk-ins for high-level and competitive skaters.
The final skate fitting for the day begins one hour before the Pro Shop closes. To book an appointment, call (703) 323-1132 and ask to speak with the Pro Shop.
High-Level Skate Services
Competitive and high-level skaters must schedule an appointment for specialized boot fitting and all service needs a week in advance. No walk-ins.

Pro Shop Services
Consultations
Book a consultation appointment to speak with our Skate Technicians about any boot, blade and service recommendations and solutions. Appointments for a consultation helps our Skate Technicians give you the time and attention you need for service recommendations and solutions.
Skate Sharpening
We provide skate sharpening for figure and hockey skates. You do not need an appointment to drop off your skates for sharpening. Skates must be dropped off at the Pro Shop during open hours and can be picked up at a later date. If you drop off your skates on Friday evening through Saturday, they will be ready for pickup by Monday evening. Appointments for sharpening can be made a week in advance. With an appointment, customers can drop off their skates at the scheduled date and time, wait while they are sharpened, and take them home at the end of the appointment.
Boot Fitting
There is a non-refundable fitting fee deposit of $35 on our figure skating boots and hockey skates on the day of your fitting appointment. Higher-level skaters must book an appointment a week in advance for a fitting. There are no walk-ins for boot fittings for higher-level skaters. The last skate fitting is taken one hour before the Pro Shop closes.
Boot Reconditioning
We offer basic skate repairs including blade replacement, rivet repair, and boot maintenance. Ask at the pro shop counter for availability and pricing.
Blade Mounting
We provide blade mounting services, and rivet and screw replacements for figure skates. The skater must be present to mark up the skate and/or try the skate on. This service requires an appointment during our available skate hours.
Knowledgeable staff and skate technicians
Our staff and skate technicians are trained to help you with all of your skating equipment, and equipment service needs. We stock well-known brands and service skate boots and blades we sell. Our skate technicians have 20+ years of experience with fitting and servicing figure and hockey skates, and equipment. They train directly with skate manufacturers and work with high-level national and international competitive athletes, show skaters, and coaches.
