Summer Groups

Planning a summer camp or summer school outing? Come out and skate! Camps and schools with 15 or more people can reserve the Summer Group admission rate, during our Monday–Friday public skating hours in our summer season. Reservations must be made 72-hours in advance. Call (703) 323-1132 to make a reservation.

Fairfax Ice Arena is an indoor ice rink offering daily public ice skating session hours all year round with special holiday hours. Public ice skating sessions are the designated times when the general public can ice skate.

No outside food and drinks are allowed. We have a drinking water fountain and water bottle filling station.
No professional cameras, flash photography, action cameras, gimbals, drones, selfie-sticks, and tripods/monopods are allowed on and off the ice.
No skating with headphones on both ears.
The weekend afternoon public ice skating sessions, and long holiday hour sessions will have intermissions to resurface the ice.
Private lessons or solicitations to teach private lessons by anyone who is not a designated Fairfax Ice Arena coach are not allowed during public session.
We do not have skating aids available.

All the special admission rates listed below for homeschool students, college students and summer groups, are not valid with other offers, and are not valid during any of our scheduled holiday public skate sessions and when area schools are not in session.

A skate rental fee of $4 per person is not included in these special rates.

Homeschool students can get a discount admission rate of $4 per person during our public ice skating session on Wednesdays, 11:15 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. This admission rate is not available during our summer public skate season.

Join us for a Themed Public Skate every first Wednesday of each month, 8:30-9:45 PM.

Groups of 7 or more must make reservations online 48 hours in advance.

Make your group reservation online. Payment is due in person, on the day of your reservation. When you come in for your reservation, the first 7 people in your group must be present together at the box office to purchase the group rate admission or one person in your group may be present to purchase a minimum of 7 group rate admissions. After 7 admissions have been purchased, the rest of your group must mention your group reservation name at the box office to receive the group rate.

The group rate cannot be used with other offers, coupons and promotions.

Skate rental fee of $4 per person is not included in the group admission rate and can be purchased in person on the day of your reservation.

Groups of 7 or more without a group rate reservation may only purchase regular/holiday admission.

Special Admission Rates

Discount Skating Card - $79
The purchase of a discount skating card is FINAL SALE. NO REFUNDS.

The discount skating card is good for 10 admissions to our public ice skating sessions for a savings of 12% for 10 weekday admissions, or a savings of 21% for 10 weekend admissions. The card can be used to admit one to multiple individuals at any one public ice skating session. The discount skating card does not include skate rental, and is not valid with other offers, coupons and promotions.

To use the discount skating card, present the physical card to the box office to be admitted to a public skate session. All individuals using the discount card must be present together at the box office. Fairfax Ice Arena is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged cards. Forgotten cards, and copies or photos of the card, and damaged cards are not valid and will not be accepted.

Admission and Skate Rental

Wear warm, comfortable clothing that is easy to move around in; pants/leggings, thin or medium-weight socks that go past your ankles, gloves, a jacket, and a helmet. Do not wear thick socks or layer your socks.

We have free helmet rentals for adults, teens and kids or you may bring your own bicycle, ski, skateboard or snowboarding helmets. Wearing a helmet and protective gear is strongly recommended for all skaters of all ages and recreational skating abilities and levels. All beginners and first-time skaters must wear a helmet.

We do not have ice skating aids (i.e. penguins/walkers) available that customers can hold on to while ice skating.
