​​Fairfax Ice Arena presents Theme Public Skate held on the first Wednesday of the month, at 8:30 PM - 9:45 PM, from September 2024 - May 2025. There will be a DJ and refreshments, and the event may include raffle prizes, photo areas, games and more.​​​

  • Customers dressed in costume* to match the theme of the event will receive $1.00 off admission price. 
  • Admission is $9.00 per person and skate rental is an additional $4.00 per person. ​This payment is due at the box office on the day of the event. 
  • ​Everyone is required to pay for admission to be admitted inside the building for this theme public skate event, whether or not you are skating, accompanying a minor, etc. No exceptions. 
  • For payment we take cash, Mastercard, Visa or Discover, and Fairfax Ice Arena's discount skating card and valid practice cards. Other offers, coupons, Groupon, promotions, special admission rate such as college student rate, and group rates DO NOT APPLY. ​​​

​​​If there is a raffle for the event:

  • ONE RAFFLE TICKET will be given per paid admission until 9:15 PM. Once inside, place your raffle ticket in the appropriate box by the lesson office.
  • If there is a raffle, the raffle drawing will take place and be announced at 9:30 PM. You must be present when the prize is announced to claim your prize.
  • The drawn raffle ticket winner will receive one of the prizes.​​​

  • ​​​​​​*Costumes must be family-friendly and should not be longer than your ankles so as not to trip over your costume on the ice.
  • This event is a family-friendly event. Fairfax Ice Arena reserves the right to ask any attendee disturbing the event to leave the premises with no refund. 
  • The box office will open at 7:30 PM.
  • The lines can begin forming outside the building at the entrance door NO EARLIER than 7 PM. 
  • Minors under 14 years of age must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
  • Do not loiter and wait inside the building before the event time. Do not block entrance doors. 
  • Be mindful, and do not disturb our patrons who are attending their group lessons from 6:30 PM - 8:20 PM.
  • If one person is paying for admission and skate rentals, please make sure all your guests that you are paying for are with you before you get in line.
  • Be ready with your skate rental ticket and your shoe size information when you get inside to the skate rental counter. Skate sizes will be SMALLER than your shoe size. You want the skates to fit snug and be laced up all the way.
  • Helmet rentals are free and available at the skate rental counter.
  • Wear long thin socks, tights or leggings / pants, gloves, jacket, bring your own helmet for best fit.
  • We do not have skating aids (i.e., penguins) for you to hold on to.​​
  • ​There may be flashing disco lights.
  • The DJ will not be taking requests during the event. Put in your song requests ahead of time in the event reservation form.
  • All attendees must wear their wristband during the entire event.
  • There will be refreshments served while supplies last. ​​​​
